Worlds 2026 daily update, 26 October: Gen.G and Dplus KIA into the quarter-finals, T1 face CTBC today

Dplus KIA and Gen.G go 3–0 at League of Legends Worlds 2026, the LPL keeps climbing, and today's Round 3 games with times in UK time and other major zones. As of 26 October.

As of 26 October 2026. We have our first two quarter-finalists. Dplus KIA and Gen.G both finished the Swiss Stage at 3–0 on Sunday, while the LPL kept climbing back from its bad start. Today is the second half of Round 3, with T1 in action and the first two teams going home. Anything that hasn’t been played yet is marked as such.

Sunday’s results (25 October)

Round 3, best-of-one (1–1 teams):

  • Invictus Gaming 1–0 Hanwha Life Esports. A lopsided win for iG, who took all four dragons. Hanwha Life, the MSI 2026 champions, drop to 1–2.
  • Top Esports 1–0 G2 Esports. Two Barons and ten towers to three. The LEC’s top seed is now one loss from elimination.

Round 3, best-of-three (2–0 teams, quarter-final spot on the line):

  • Dplus KIA 2–0 Movistar KOI. DK won a long opening game, with Smash scoring the first pentakill of the tournament on Kai’Sa, then closed game two in about 25 minutes behind ShowMaker’s Syndra.
  • Gen.G 2–1 LYON. LYON took game one and were a game away from the upset of the event so far. Gen.G answered with two clean wins to complete the reverse sweep.

The standings going into today

Record Teams
3–0 (qualified) Dplus KIA, Gen.G
2–1 Movistar KOI, LYON, Invictus Gaming, Top Esports
1–1 (play today) T1, CTBC Flying Oyster, Bilibili Gaming, Karmine Corp
1–2 Hanwha Life Esports, G2 Esports
0–2 (play today) LOS, Team Secret Whales, Team Liquid Alienware, Anyone’s Legend

Away from the LCK, the bigger story is the LPL. After an 0–4 first day, Chinese teams have now won five of their last six games, and iG and Top Esports are one series win from the quarter-finals.

Today’s games: Monday 26 October (not yet played)

Europe’s clocks went back on Sunday but North America’s don’t change until 1 November, so the gap between UK and US East Coast time is four hours this week. Start times after the first game are approximate, as each match follows the one before.

Match Format UK (GMT) Central Europe (CET) US East (ET) US West (PT) Brazil (BRT) Korea (KST)

What to watch for:

  • T1 vs CTBC Flying Oyster is the big one. The three-time defending champions lost to Dplus KIA on Saturday, and a second defeat would leave them 1–2, needing to win two in a row to survive.
  • Bilibili Gaming vs Karmine Corp pits the LPL’s momentum against the Play-In winners. Karmine Corp beat Anyone’s Legend on day one but lost to LYON in Round 2.
  • The two elimination series send the losers home. Anyone’s Legend, the LPL’s champions, are the most surprising name in that 0–2 group.
