TV and anime premieres worth watching in November 2026

November is when the streamers start lining up their big end-of-year shows, and this year it’s a packed month for fantasy and sci-fi. Here’s what’s worth making room for, in date order.

About the dates: these are the launch dates announced by each platform. Global streaming releases often unlock overnight in one time zone, so depending on where you are a show can appear the evening before or the morning after the listed date. Streaming catalogues and availability vary by country, so check that a show is listed on your local service. Where a platform has only confirmed a date for one region, we say so.

The big fantasy and sci-fi returns

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 (Prime Video, from Wednesday 11 November). Prime Video is doing this season differently: four episodes on 11 November, two more on 18 November and the last two on 25 November, rather than weekly. The season jumps forward several years to the height of the war between the elves and Sauron. Prime Video says the series is available in more than 240 countries and territories.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 (Disney+, from Friday 20 November). The third season adapts The Titan’s Curse, with Percy setting off to find a missing Annabeth. If you’ve fallen behind, the first two seasons are on Disney+.

Blade Runner 2099 (Prime Video, Wednesday 25 November). Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer lead a limited series set 50 years after Blade Runner 2049. All eight episodes arrive at once, and Prime Video says it’s a global release. It’s a good one for a long weekend binge.

Thrillers

Black Doves season 2 (Netflix, Thursday 5 November). Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw are back in the spy thriller, and Netflix says all six episodes drop on the same day.

12 12 12 (Apple TV, from Friday 13 November). Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan star in a new heist drama. Apple says it’s a global premiere, with two episodes on launch day, then one a week until 25 December.

Anime and animation

Bass x Machina (Netflix, Tuesday 3 November). An adult animated steampunk western from Studio Mir, inspired by the real lawman Bass Reeves, with Brian Tyree Henry in the lead. It was originally due in October and moved to November.

Devils’ Crest (Prime Video, Friday 6 November). A new anime series streaming on Prime Video. Anime News Network reports a 6 November streaming debut; check Prime Video in your country, as anime catalogues there differ a lot from region to region.

Fool Night (Netflix, Thursday 26 November). The month’s most interesting anime premiere: a dark adaptation of Kasumi Yasuda’s manga, set in a world without sunlight where dying people can choose to become plants that produce oxygen. It’s the first collaboration between studios Sunrise and SHAFT, and the official site confirms all episodes arrive at once, worldwide, on Netflix.

What we’d watch first

If you only have time for one show, make it Fool Night: it’s unlike anything else this month and you can watch it all in one go. For a big weekend binge, Blade Runner 2099 arrives in full the day before many people in the US have a long holiday weekend.
