Black Friday 2026 gaming and streaming gear: what's worth waiting for
Black Friday falls on 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday on 30 November. Here's which gaming and streaming kit is worth holding off for, what to buy now, and how to spot a real deal wherever you live.
Black Friday is the Friday after US Thanksgiving, which in 2026 means Friday 27 November, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. It started in the US but most big retailers in Europe, Canada, Australia and elsewhere now run sales around the same dates – and many stretch them across the whole of November. Exact deals, dates and retailers vary by country, so treat this as a plan rather than a shopping list.
Heads up: the product guides linked below are on What2Buy, our sister buying-guide site. What2Buy is a UK site, so its picks, prices and retailer links are for UK shoppers – if you’re elsewhere, use the guides for ideas and check what’s sold locally. It earns from some retailer links. Binge Bulletin doesn’t list products or prices itself. See our disclosure.
Worth waiting for
Headsets
Gaming headsets are one of the most reliably discounted categories in November, and there’s rarely a reason to pay full price in October unless yours has broken. Draw up a shortlist now with What2Buy’s best PS5 headsets under £50, then watch the prices.
Mice, keyboards and PC peripherals
Same story: plenty of choice, plenty of competition, frequent sales. If you’re upgrading, see best wireless gaming mice and note the models you like.
Streaming kit
If you’ve been meaning to start streaming, microphones, webcams and lights all tend to appear in Black Friday sales. Shortlist with best streaming microphones under £50, best webcams for streaming under £50 and best streaming lights under £50. Capturing Switch 2 gameplay? There’s a guide to capture cards for Switch 2 too.
Probably don’t wait
- Games you’ll play on launch day. If you’re set on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (out 23 October) with your friends, a possible discount a month later isn’t worth missing the launch window. For most other games, waiting is fine.
- Small accessories you need now. A replacement cable or a case for a new console isn’t worth weeks of going without. What2Buy’s Switch 2 accessories under £20 covers the cheap essentials.
- Anything for a gift with a deadline. Delivery gets slower in December everywhere. If it has to arrive by a date, buy with a margin.
How to spot a real deal
- Check price history. A “was” price can be inflated. Price-tracking sites and browser extensions exist in most countries – use one before you buy.
- Compare the exact model. Some products appear in sales in slightly different versions. Check the model number.
- Watch the returns policy. Holiday-season returns windows are often extended, but not everywhere – read the retailer’s terms.
- Digital games have their own sales. Console and PC stores run their own promotions, and they don’t always line up with Black Friday. Steam’s 2026 Autumn Sale has already been and gone, so don’t wait for that one.
- Subscriptions too. Streaming and game subscriptions sometimes offer seasonal discounts, but availability varies by country – our streaming services compared guide helps you decide which one is worth it first.
The plan
Make a shortlist this month, set a budget, and buy only what was on your list before the sale started. What2Buy’s gaming guides are a good place to build that list (UK prices), and if you’re kitting out a corner of the room for winter, our cosy gaming corner guide covers lighting, seating and comfort. Shopping for someone else? Our Christmas gift guide for gamers has ideas at every budget.
